Personal update + New look

 Hi Lovelies!

https://media.giphy.com/media/Cmr1OMJ2FN0B2/giphy.gif
I hope every last one of you is fine these days and that you're enjoying mind-blowingly amazing books in this colourful time of the year.

I thought I'd give you a little personal update, because it's been a while since I reported about what's going on in my life.

We got married with the Beau on September 14, and the day went as it had to, it was one of the happiest of my life!

We are working on the baby project at the moment and I can't wait to be a mom!

As you can see, the blog got a new look, because I felt it was time to refresh it a bit.

I kept the flowery theme and the colour palette too more or less, only white now dominates instead of pink and it gives it a bit more simple, yet elegant look in my opinion.

What do you think? Do you like it, yay or nay?

Events in my life

I have a pretty intense few weeks behind me intense in a good sense and I feel blessed because of all the amazing things that have happened to me since July.

Let me present the newest of news with a picture:

I'M ENGAGED!!!!

This is not a drill!

It was not easy for me to actually believe this happened because...

Six years of it!

Haha, I'm sorry I couldn't resist the gif (it's David-approved by the way, he knows he took his time and it drove me insane :)

We should start thinking about the wedding soon because we'd like to have a little one before I'm 30. Such excitement!

I promised I'd bring you some pictures from London Film and Comic Con, now's the time to make good on that promise.

Unfortunately the professional photos are still not uploaded to the con's website so I cannot show you the one I took with Pearl Mackie (12th Doctor's companion) or the one that David took with Jewel Staite (Firefly). Later I'll be able to post those ones as well I'm sure.

But here are some that'll give you an idea about how much fun we had:

Aaand a couple of pictures of us in London doing tourist-y stuff:

I'll be back soon with a new review, stay tuned!

My trip to Oradea in pictures

Some of you requested to see the pictures I took during my stay in Oradea, Romania. This is me giving in, but let me forewarn you; I'm really bad at editing pictures so you'll see them in their original state here. Enjoy the realism and please don't be alarmed by my no-filter face :)

I went to Oradea with my family (parents and my younger brothers) on Friday, March 30th and we stayed until Monday, April 2nd. We rarely go on family trips together anymore, since 3 out of the 4 'children' in the family (including myself) are adults and we usually plan separate holidays for ourselves. Neither me nor my brothers have kids on our own yet but we have a kid brother who we love to spend time with. All of us really enjoyed this journey, since the city was beautiful and for two days we had nice weather too.

And now, the pictures:

A walk in the city centre:

(from left to right): the City Hall Tower, the State Theatre and the Church of St. Spirit:

The Black Eagle Palace:

I became part of the 20th century literary society of Oradea for a short moment:

(From left to right: Endre Ady, Gyula Juhász, Ákos Dutka and Tamás Emőd)

Endre Ady, the guy with the bow tie, is one of my favourite Hungarian poets.

My brothers on the Main Square, the Neolog Synagogue Zion and the Black Eagle Palace at night:

A story in pictures involving me and my little ray of sunshine:

The Good, the Bad and the Horror Bunny:

So that's it, phew. A bunch of bad photos (I've just realised I photographed the majority of the buildings from a distance, jeez) that, despite their awkwardness, make me recall a ton of nice memores.

I hope you enjoyed this short pic-sharing post.

Favourite places to read

It's time for a more personal post, a glance behind the scenes. Today I'll show you where I like to curl up and read the most.

This comfy armchair is where I do most of my reading. My surroundings are never quiet, there's always one or two family members around, but I'm used to the background noises, it would be strange if they weren't there, really.

There's a little glass table in front of the armchair, that's where I put my cup of coffee or tea that I sip occasionally while reading.

I have lots of favourite mugs, this cutie was a christmas present and is my official winter mug now :) As you can see I cannot resist whipped cream...

This is my second reading nook, where Lord Byron looks over me... or...well, stares into the distance, rather bored, while I'm having the time of my life in fictional realms. The chap likes to sulk...

If I'm not home, the best place to read for me is on the underground. It's nice to fill the empty time gaps in my day with a bit of fun. It makes me happy to see books in the hand of fellow travellers too.

What about you? Where do you like to read? Let me know in a comment below! :)
